Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) will offer free educational seminars and workshops on a variety of money-management topics during Money Smart Week® held March 30 through April 6 and throughout the month of April for National Financial Literacy Month.
Money Smart Week® is a national public awareness campaign designed to help consumers better manage their personal finances. Organizations, including public libraries, come together to stress the importance of financial literacy, inform consumers on where to get help and provide free educational seminars and programs.
National Financial Literacy Month is a nationwide effort to shine a spotlight on the importance of financial education.
MCPL’s free seminars and workshops are designed to stress the importance of establishing and maintaining healthy financial habits. Programs are for all ages and will be presented by County departments and outside organizations, including the County’s Office of Consumer Protection, the Montgomery County Commission for Women, and the U.S Securities and Exchange Commission Office of Investor Education of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
