Montgomery County Public Libraries has a new dinosaur exhibit to bring children face to face with a dinosaur. The new three-unit display, donated by Discovery, Inc is called the Bambiraptor. It features a display of how fossil remains are found, a skeleton, and a life-like model of the bambiraptor, which was a bird-like dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous period.

The free exhibit is available during normal operating hours in the children’s section of the Rockville Memorial Library located at 21 Maryland Ave.

“We are grateful for this generous donation from Discovery, Inc.,” said Rockville Branch Manager Patrick Fromm. “This attractive exhibit enriches our children’s collection and provides another creative opportunity for children to learn about dinosaurs and fossils.”

The new exhibit complements the collection of MCPL children’s dinosaur resources including books, DVD’s and multiple science databases.
