Council meeting begins at 1:30 p.m.
ROCKVILLE, Md., March 12, 2021—The Montgomery County Council, led by Council President Tom Hucker and Vice President Gabe Albornoz, and County Executive Marc Elrich will hold a media briefing today at 2:30 p.m. The media availability will follow the Council's 1:30 p.m. meeting where they will introduce, hold a public hearing and vote on a new Board of Health regulation to help limit the spread of Covid-19 while taking the next steps on Montgomery County's road to reopening.
The members of the Montgomery County Council include Council President Hucker, Council Vice President Albornoz and Councilmembers Andrew Friedson, Evan Glass, Will Jawando, Sidney Katz, Nancy Navarro, Craig Rice and Hans Riemer.
The Board of Health regulation that the Council will consider at its 1:30 p.m. meeting can be found here.
The virtual Council meeting will be streamed live on the Council’s web page via YouTube and on Facebook Live and can be watched on County Cable Montgomery on Xfinity/RCN 6 HD 996/1056, Fios 30, and on the CCM live stream.
The media availability will be held via Zoom and is for credentialed members of the media. It will also be broadcast on County Cable Montgomery and the Council's Facebook and YouTube pages.
