The Montgomery County Council will conduct a public hearing and is scheduled to vote on the following special appropriation on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. The deadline to sign-up is June 21 at 5 p.m.:
Special Appropriation to Montgomery College’s FY21 Operating Budget - $2,325,789 for the federal, state, and private contract fund (Source of Funds: Federal/State grants).
The Montgomery County Council will conduct a public hearing and is scheduled to vote on the following special appropriation on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. The deadline to sign-up is June 28 at 5 p.m.:
Special Appropriation to Montgomery County Public Schools’ (MCPS) FY21 Capital Budget and Amendment to the FY21-26 Capital Improvements Program (CIP) - $1,815,267 for the Technology Modernization Project (Source of Funds: Federal E- Rate Reimbursement).
The Montgomery County Council will also conduct public hearings on the following expedited bills on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. The deadline to sign-up is June 28 at 5 p.m.:
Expedited Bill 22-21, Eating and Drinking Establishments - Itinerant Food Service Facilities - Amendments, would allow an itinerant food service facility to operate for a temporary period not to exceed 30 days; and generally amend the definition of an itinerant food service facility.
Expedited Bill 23-21, Special Capital Improvements Project - Full Upgrade of Existing Recycling Center Complex, would authorize the planning, design, and construction of the Full Upgrade of Existing Recycling Center Complex project in the Rockville area.

NOTE: During the Covid-19 state of emergency, the public is not able to be physically present in the Council Hearing Room. Residents who would like to call in to testify at a Council public hearing need to preregister on the Council's web page at https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/council/calendar.html . Once the public hearing sign up request form is submitted and the public hearing list is created, individuals will receive separate confirmation notifications that include the appropriate phone number to call for the public hearing.
Community members also have the option to provide audio, video and written testimony to the Council using a recently developed online testimony form on the Council's web page which can be found at https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/COUNCIL/PHSignUp.html. The testimony provided with the online option carries the same weight as testimony given at a public hearing. Councilmembers consider all comments as part of their deliberations.
