On Tuesday, July 16, starting at 6:30 p.m., the Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will hold a virtual public hearing to discuss the proposed Capital Crescent Surface Trail Phase 2 project in Bethesda. The public will have an opportunity to provide testimony and ask questions.
The planned Capital Crescent Surface Trail (CCST) is a separated two-way bike lane along the northern side of Bethesda Avenue between Woodmont Avenue and Wisconsin Avenue, MD 355. East of Wisconsin Avenue, the two-way separated bike lane will continue along the southern side of Willow Lane to 47th Street. A shared-use path is planned along the Elm Street Park’s 47th Street frontage.
At the public hearing, MCDOT will present project details, costs, and schedules as well as obtain public testimony and answer questions. Public input is encouraged and may influence the final design of the project.
Online registration is required to attend. On the morning of the meeting, an electronic invitation will be sent to those who registered.
