Department of Liquor Control to Host Statewide Regulatory Forum

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, July 21, 2009

Montgomery County’s Department of Liquor Control will host a statewide educational regulatory forum that brings together representatives from liquor control boards around the state to share information on alcohol regulatory programs. The forum is scheduled for Friday, July 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Wyndham Garden Hotel, 805 Russell Avenue in Gaithersburg.

Funded in part by a grant from the National Alcohol Beverage Control Association, the forum will focus on safety and security issues in facilities with alcohol licenses. Alcohol inspectors, liquor board members and representatives from nine counties across the state will come together for this forum to share regulatory “best practices” and identify steps to keep businesses and communities safe and vibrant.
