Due to construction on eastbound Fernwood Road between Rockledge Drive and Rock Spring Drive in Rockville, Ride On routes 6, 26, 47, and 96 are experiencing detours. These detours will be in place for approximately three weeks beginning on Thursday, Feb. 13. Details can be found below.

ROUTE 6 TO PARKSIDE 

From Westlake Terrace/Fernwood Road and Rockledge Drive, turn left onto Rockledge Drive, turn right to continue on Rockledge Drive, turn left onto Rock Spring Drive to get back on route.

• Stop 28410: Rock Spring Drive & Rockledge Drive  

• Stop 28409: Rock Spring Drive at 6550 Rock Spring Drive 

• Stop 28408: Rock Spring Drive & Fernwood Road

ROUTE 26 TO GLENMONT 

From Westlake Terrace/Fernwood Road and Rockledge Drive, turn left onto Rockledge Drive, turn right to continue on Rockledge Drive, turn left onto Rock Spring Drive to get back on route.

ROUTE 96 – MID-DAY TRIPS FROM MONTGOMERY MALL TO GROSVENOR METRO STATION  

From Westlake Terrace/Fernwood Road and Rockledge Drive, turn left onto Rockledge Drive, turn right to continue on Rockledge Drive, turn right onto Rock Spring Drive, turn left onto Fernwood Road, turn left on Democracy Blvd, left onto Rockledge Drive, right onto Rock Spring Drive and back on route. 

Stops Bypassed: 

• Stop 15360: Rockledge Drive & Democracy Boulevard 

• Stop 28410: Rock Spring Drive & Rockledge Drive 

• Stop 22210: Fernwood Road & Marriott Drive  

Alternate Stops:

Ride On bus fare is only $1 and monthly passes are $22.50 using SmarTrip, cash, or tokens. Seniors age 65 or older, persons with disabilities and youth ages 18 and under all ride free using specialized SmarTrip cards. 

Riders can plan trips online using the free Ride On Trip Planner App.
