Beginning Thursday, March 6, Ride On bus stop #21284 at Connecticut Avenue and Plyers Mill Road in Kensington will be closed to facilitate sidewalk construction impacting Ride On bus routes 4, 5, 33, 34 and 37. Work is projected to last until Thursday, March 27.
Riders are directed to use the following alternate stops:
Route 4: Silver Spring-Kensington-Wheaton:
Stop #23322 at Howard Avenue & Connecticut Avenue or stop #26590 at Connecticut Avenue & Concord Avenue
Route 5: Silver Spring-Twinbrook Station:
Stop #21282 at Connecticut Avenue & Knowles Avenue or stop #24960 at Plyers Mill Road & Metropolitan Avenue
Route 33: Glenmont-Medical Center:
Stop #23322 at Howard Avenue & Connecticut Avenue or stop #26590 at Connecticut Avenue & Concord Avenue
Route 34: Aspen Hill-Friendship Heights:
Stop #21282 at Connecticut Avenue & Knowles Avenue or stop #26590 at Connecticut Avenue & Concord Avenue
Route 37: Potomac - Wheaton:
Stop #21282 at Connecticut Avenue & Knowles Avenue or stop #24960 at Plyers Mill Road & Metropolitan Avenue
Ride On bus fare is only $1 and monthly passes are $22.50 using SmarTrip, cash, or tokens. Seniors age 65 or older, persons with disabilities and youth ages 18 and under all ride free using specialized SmarTrip cards.
