For Immediate Release: Tuesday, April 29, 2025
The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will hold two public meetings to discuss the MD 355 Flash Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project. The in-person public meetings will focus on the central corridor, which runs from Rockville to Germantown, and will be the first project section along the MD 355 corridor. MCDOT is seeking public input which may influence the outcome of the project.
About MD 355 Flash BRT:
MD 355 Flash BRT is an upgraded, high-frequency transit service that delivers faster, more reliable service between Rockville and Germantown using dedicated bus lanes and bus priority treatments at traffic signals. The central corridor will be the first section to move forward. It connects destinations such as Montgomery College’s Rockville and Germantown campuses and Lakeforest and Germantown Transit Centers, helping more people reach jobs, schools, healthcare and other essential services.
Meeting Details:
The meetings will be conducted in an open house format, allowing attendees to engage directly with project team members, view project materials, maps and ask questions.
