From the Office of Councilmember Evan Glass

Councilmember Evan Glass (At-Large) announced a series of LGBTQ+ Pride Month activities throughout the month of June. Events include a Pride flag raising ceremony outside the Executive Office Building in Rockville, an orchestra performance at Strathmore, and Pride in the Plaza in downtown Silver Spring. There are events for every resident and family member throughout Montgomery County.

“As the Trump administration tries to erase LGBTQ+ people from this country’s history and culture, we must further uplift our community and embrace the rich diversity that makes Montgomery County a beautifully inclusive place to call home. Now is the time to make our voices heard,” said Councilmember Glass. “I’m proud to host Montgomery County’s seventh annual LGBTQ+ Pride month event series. As we continue our struggle for greater civil rights and liberties, Pride Month is a time to not only reflect on our progress but to focus on the work ahead.”
