Press Releases - Department of Transportation

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, October 21, 2025

On Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 6:30 p.m., the Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will hold a virtual (online) public information meeting to discuss the proposed River Falls Neighborhood Improvement project in Potomac. The public will have an opportunity to provide comments and ask questions.

The River Falls Neighborhood Drainage Improvement project provides engineering plans and cost estimates to address the recommendations and concerns within the existing River Falls neighborhood-built environment as outlined in the 2022 River Falls Drainage Study.

At the public meeting, MCDOT will present project details and costs as well as obtain public comments and answer questions. Public input is encouraged and may influence the final design of the project.

Please register online to attend. After registering, the Zoom platform will send attendees an email containing the Zoom link and passcode needed to attend the virtual meeting.

The public is encouraged to visit the project website and provide feedback via the online comment form or via email to the Project Manager, Matt Spielman at [email protected] by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec 3.

Written comments carry the same weight as oral comments expressed at the meeting. All information provided will become a matter of public record.

Interpreter services will be provided upon request with five business days advance notice. To request interpreter services, email Matt Spielman at [email protected] or call 240-620-9115 no later than Tuesday, Oct. 28.
