Detectives Investigating Attempted Robbery

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, October 8, 2024

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division are actively investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, in the 11200 block of New Hampshire Avenue in Silver Spring. Detectives have released surveillance photos of the suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying them.

Information leading to an arrest could result in a reward ranging from $250 up to $10,000. Tipsters may remain anonymous.
