Laurel Man Charged with Commercial Armed Robbery

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, December 3, 2024

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division have arrested and charged 30-year-old Tameek Parker with a commercial armed robbery that occurred on Friday, November 8, 2024, at the Tobacco and Vape Outlet store in the 8400 block of Snouffer School Road in Gaithersburg.

 

The investigation has revealed that at approximately 4:03 p.m., the suspect, later identified as Parker, entered the store and approached an employee. The suspect then displayed a black handgun and demanded merchandise. The employee handed over the merchandise to the suspect who placed it inside a bag and left the scene in a vehicle.

 

Detectives reviewed the store surveillance footage and obtained a description of the suspect.

 

Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified Parker as the suspect.

 

On Monday, November 25, a residential search warrant was executed at Parker’s home in Laurel, where he was arrested, and items of evidentiary value were recovered.

 

Parker was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing, where he is being held without bond.
