Collision Reconstruction Unit Investigates Poolesville Fatal Collision; Victim’s Identity Released

For Immediate Release: Monday, February 24, 2025

Gaithersburg, MD — Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Friday, February 21, 2025. The decedent has been identified as 51-year-old Marcos Anton Solorzano Ramirez of Gaithersburg.

 

At approximately 6:03 p.m., a green 2000 Acura Integra was traveling eastbound on Whites Ferry Road when, for reasons still under investigation, it collided with a white 2023 Ford Transit van that was traveling westbound on Whites Ferry Road near the intersection of Partnership Road.

 

Upon arrival, 1st District officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue located Ramirez and pronounced him dead on the scene.

 

The adult male driver of the white Ford remained on the scene with no reported injuries.

 

The Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating this collision. CRU detectives are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to call (240) 773-6620.
