This is an exciting evening. It is my pleasure to introduce tonight’s very special guest, Kojo Nnamdi.


Kojo hosts the The Kojo Nnamdi Show on WAMU-FM weekdays at noon and also hosts The Politics Hour on WAMU.


For many years, Kojo hosted “Evening Exchange with Kojo,” a public affairs television program broadcasted by WHUT-TV at Howard University. 


In 2014, Kojo was inducted into the Society of Professional Journalists, DC Chapter Hall of Fame, and his HistoryMakers oral interview is now a permanent part of the HistoryMakers Collection at The Library of Congress. 


The Washington City Paper recently named Kojo the Best Radio Personality in Washington, D.C.


WAMU’s Kojo Nnamdi Show wona James Beard Foundation Award for “Best Audio Webcast or Radio Show at the 2010 James Beard Awards in New York City.


His reputation as an interviewer and talk show host are legendary in the Washington, D.C. area.  He is interested in the social and political issues that are discussed in the nation’s capital, and is equally intrigued by the concerns of the nation and world beyond Washington. 


He is known for his versatility and preparation, as well as his ability to knowledgeably handle topics ranging from the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty to the basketball playoff match ups.
