Welcome to Montgomery County and Congratulations! Today it is my honor to welcome you as new citizens of the United States of America.

Thank you USCIS for your collaboration and we are extremely excited to host this ceremony and look forward to more citizenship ceremonies around the county as part of our Citizenship Initiative!

I want to also recognize our elected officials that are joining us today on this celebration.

Thank you for coming to this celebration.

This is a celebration and a proud moment for you, your family, friends and neighbors.  I know that this has been a long journey for all of you.

Please take a moment to look around and see all the people, support and family members that are here with you today as they have been part of your journey as well.

A journey full of dreams, dedication, hard work and hope that started in many different places (22 countries) from around the world; and we are now here to celebrate a major milestone.

But this isn’t the end. Today and tomorrow you will go on and continue to contribute to the ongoing chapters of this shared success story – a story of this amazing, unique and diverse country of ours that we all call home.

This is the very fabric of what makes the United State a successful and richly diverse democracy and what makes our communities, and indeed this entire County, great as well.

It is an honor and a pleasure to host you here today and thank you for making us part of this major milestone in your life with your family, Congratulations!

Thank you!
