Montgomery County Government (MCG) has been recognized as an Exemplar Level employer by Healthiest Maryland Businesses (HMB) in the 2025 Wellness at Work Recognition Program.

HMB is a statewide collaborative led by the Maryland Department of Health that recognizes employers committed to creating and sustaining healthy work environments. Businesses are evaluated in four key areas: policy, programming, benefits, and environmental support. The Exemplar designation is the highest distinction awarded by HMB, honoring organizations with well-established wellness practices that promote a culture of health across the workplace. In 2025, only 42 employers across Maryland received recognition, and just 23 achieved the Exemplar level.

This award underscores the importance of integrating wellness into the core of workplace culture, rather than treating it as a standalone initiative. LiveWell, MCG's employee wellness program, leads these efforts by championing innovative and sustainable initiatives that foster holistic, long-term wellbeing. MCG is committed to building on this recognition through workplace practices that promote employee health and organizational resilience.
