2017 Procurement Forum Focuses on Contracting Opportunities

Nearly 600 people are expected to attend Montgomery County’s second annual Procurement Forum on October 5, at the Silver Spring Civic Building.  This event is designed to educate the business community about the procurement process and features six sessions highlighting local opportunities.  New sessions this year include, “The Future is Green: Building a Sustainable Montgomery County,” and “Nonprofits: An Overview of County Grant Contracts.” In addition, there will be a session on the latest public/private partnerships in the region. 

Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett, Office of Procurement Director Cherri Branson, and Alison Tavik, director of communications for the Maryland Governor’s Office of Small, Minority and Women Business Affairs, will provide opening remarks.
