County Executive Ike Leggett will participate in the Interfaith Forum on Hunger and will feature the major hunger-related programs existing in Montgomery.

The Interfaith Forum on Hunger serves to illustrate how partnerships with faith communities make a significant contribution in combating hunger.  The forum is presented by Neighbors in Need Working Group in collaboration with the Montgomery County Food Council to inform and engage faith communities in effectively caring for the hungry.

Presentations and resources will be provided by Manna Food Center, Community Food Rescue, Capital Area Food Bank, Critical Issues Forum, Montgomery County Muslim Foundation, Montgomery County Master Gardeners and the Rainbow Community Development Center.

A Geographic Information Systems Map will be unveiled during the forum. This new tool shows every faith community in Montgomery County and provides information for collaborative work between government and nonprofits in community service.
