Elrich to Announce the Promoting Community Trust Executive Order

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will hold a press conference and signing for the Promoting Community Trust Executive Order. Elrich will be joined by County Council President Nancy Navarro; other members of the County Council; and other community leaders.

The Promoting Community Trust Executive Order aims to reaffirm current County policy and improve community security by ensuring that immigrant and otherwise vulnerable communities can engage with County departments, including public safety departments, with assurance that such engagement will not be used to assist in civil immigration enforcement or a federal discriminatory practice. 

The press conference will be live-streamed on the County’s website at montgomerycountymd.gov and on Facebook at www.facebook.com/montgomerycountyinfo.

Parking: Public parking is available on the lower level of the Council Office Building garage at the corner of Monroe and Jefferson streets.
