CANDIDATE FILING DEADLINE APPROACHES

The Board of Elections wishes to remind anyone who is planning to run for office that the deadline to file as a candidate for the 2024 Primary Election is Friday, February 9, 2024.

The Montgomery County Board of Elections is accepting candidate filings for the 2024 Presidential Primary Election now through 9PM, Friday, February 9, 2024. Individuals interested in running for the Board of Education (Districts 2, 4, and At-Large) may file a Certificate of Candidacy with the Montgomery County Board of Elections at 18753 N. Frederick Avenue, Suite 210, in Gaithersburg.

Candidates for all other offices on the 2024 Presidential Primary ballot should contact the Maryland State Board of Elections. The Montgomery County Board of Elections is open from 8:30AM to 5PM from Monday through Friday.
