Montgomery County Weekly Media Briefing at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 6, to Focus on Likely Tornadoes, Start of Red Line Summer Shutdown & Pride Month

Reporters interested in asking Montgomery County's Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Rich Madaleno questions will be able to do so during this week’s virtual media briefing at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 6.

The briefing will provide an update on Wednesday evening’s reported tornadoes, the start of Metro’s Red Line construction impacting Montgomery County commuters and focus on the importance of Pride Month. This week’s guest will be:

  • Sherri Ly, Metro, media relations officer
  • Jacob Newman, director, Silver Spring Regional Service Center

The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and vital issues with key members of the County Government and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Media members who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o'[email protected] by 8 a.m. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
