Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich's Weekly Media Briefing at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, to Focus on Excessive Heat & Response to Shelter Fire

Reporters are encouraged to participate in this week’s virtual media briefing on Wednesday, July 10, at 12:30 p.m., where they will have the opportunity to ask Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich questions.

The County Executive will discuss measures taken across the County in response to excessive heat. He will also discuss the positive response to a challenging situation on the 4th of July, which made a women’s shelter uninhabitable. This week's guests will be:

  • Christine Hong, Chief of Services to End and Prevent Homelessness
  • Courtney Hall, CEO, Interfaith Works

The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and vital issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Media members who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should contact Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o'[email protected] by 10:30 a.m. on the day of the briefing. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
