At the recommendation of the Montgomery County Republican Central Committee, Maryland Governor Wes Moore today appointed Lawrence Halloran of Bethesda, Maryland to serve as a Substitute Member of the Montgomery County Board of Elections. Mr. Halloran replaces Diane Nash Dillon, who recently resigned to accept an employment opportunity that precluded continued service on the Board. The public is invited to attend Mr. Halloran’s swearing-in on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 3:00 pm at the Montgomery County Board of Elections, 18753 N. Frederick Ave, Suite 210, Gaithersburg, MD 20879 or to join the Board meeting via Zoom (link to virtual participation is provided at www.777vote.org). Subject to confirmation by the Maryland Senate in 2026, Mr. Halloran will serve the remainder of Ms. Dillon’s term, which expires in June 2027.
After Mr. Halloran’s swearing-in and any comments by Board members, the Board will proceed with its regular monthly meeting. A detailed agenda is available (as usual) on the Montgomery County Board of Elections website at www.777vote.org.
