Farmers Market Week

Councilmember Andrew Friedson presented a proclamation recognizing August 4-10, 2019 as National Farmers Market Week. Montgomery County is home to more than 25 farmers markets which build connections in our neighborhoods, bridge urban and rural communities, support sustainable family farms, promote awareness of our 93,000-acre Agricultural Reserve and reduce food waste by redirecting meals to food-insecure residents.
