Celebrating With Spirit

The Washington Spirit women’s professional soccer team is based at the Montgomery County Soccerplex in Boyds. Following a home game against Chicago, Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich (left) and County Councilmember Craig Rice (right) presented a proclamation to the Spirit players, coaches and owners to let the Spirit—whose roster this year includes two members of the U.S. national team that recently won the World Cup--know how much the County appreciates having it play games at what is known as one of the top sports complexes in the nation.
