Montgomery County Celebrates Active Aging Week Oct. 1-7

Dozens of free activities are planned to celebrate Montgomery County's Active Aging Week with a kickoff event on Oct. 2 at Brookside Gardens. Also, seniors (age 65 and older) can travel free or at a discount on Metrobus, Metrorail and Ride On by purchasing a Senior SmarTrip® card at MCDOT’s Mobile Commuter store, County Library or Silver Spring TRIPs store.  It’s easy to use, faster than a farecard and eliminates the need to carry cash, coins, and transfers.
