Councilmember Craig Rice and County Executive Marc Elrich presented a proclamation recognizing November as Carbon Monoxide Awareness Month and promoting awareness of the deadly threat carbon monoxide poses if proper detectors are not installed in people’s homes and places of work. In October 2018 the Council passed Councilmember Rice’s legislative proposal requiring the installation and maintenance of carbon monoxide alarms in all single-unit, two-unit and townhouse dwelling units.
