Montgomery County Government officials participated in the Montgomery County Employee’s 2020 Black History Celebration at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre. This year’s theme is focused on the African American vote. The 15th Amendment to the Constitution granted black men the right to vote under the law, but exercising that right became another challenge. Women were allowed to vote, by way of the 19th Amendment, decades later.
