Public Invited to May 13 University Blvd Bike Lane Pilot Project Meeting

Starting at 6 pm, Maryland State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will be holding a public meeting about the soon to be opened protected bike lane pilot project on University Boulevard in Wheaton. The curb lane in each direction will create a partially-protected bike lane between Arcola Avenue and Amherst Avenue in Wheaton. The public is encouraged to provide feedback and can sign up here to attend.

These bike lanes will connect Sligo Creek Parkway and trail to the Wheaton downtown district, making it more comfortable to walk, bike and access transit on the 1.3 mile stretch of this busy State road. Visit the project website to learn more and read the Greater Greater Washington article.
