MCDOT is Snow Ready

MCDOT staff and crews conducted a mock snowstorm event to test out MCDOT Highway Service’s snowplow tracking system to ensure readiness for the winter season. MCDOT maintains over 5,403 miles of County roads deploying over 150 snowplows during snowstorms.

The County practices its snow response every year to ensure that streets are cleared quickly with as little salt use as possible. During snow events residents can visit our online snow portal for information on the latest delays and closings, plowing status and up-to-date snow-related information.
