Building Safety Month
Council President Hans Riemer presented a proclamation recognizing Building Safety Month. To help raise awareness of building safety, the Department of Permitting Services (DPS) is celebrating Building Safety Month in May. DPS will be offering free deck maintenance inspections for single-family detached homes, townhouses and duplex dwellings. The inspections are available to all Montgomery County residents in the month of May. President Riemer highlighted the importance of the Department of Permitting Services’ work in ensuring public safety and preventing tragedy.
