Child Abuse Prevention Month

Council Vice President Sidney Katz and County Executive Marc Elrich presented a proclamation recognizing April 2019 as National Child Abuse Prevention Month and highlighting the work of the Tree House Child Advocacy Center to break the cycle of child abuse, reduce trauma and promote healing in victims of abuse. We encourage residents to join the Tree House Tour de Cookie on Saturday, May 4, 2019 for a day of fun, festivities and philanthropy as it seeks to raise awareness of child abuse prevention.
