ROCKVILLE, Md., May 28, 2020—On Friday, May 29 at 1 p.m., the Council will meet as the Board of Health to introduce, hold a public hearing and vote on a resolution to adopt a Board of Health regulation approving Executive Order Number 070-20 signed by County Executive Elrich on May 28 which proposes easing some of the County's stay-at-home restrictions and begins a phased reopening of Montgomery County on June 1. Residents can review the Executive Order Number 070-20 here on May 29.
Due to the emergency related to COVID-19, the Council President has waived the notice requirement for this Board of Health regulation. The public hearing will be held on May 29 at 1 p.m.
The Council is also scheduled to act on a resolution approving Executive Order 070-20, Covid-19 Local Order – Phase 1.
During the state of emergency related to COVID-19, the public will not be physically present in the Council Hearing Room for public hearings. The public can participate in the process by providing written, audio, and video testimony on the Council’s website.
