Rockville, Md., June 25, 2021—On Monday, June 28 at 12 p.m., Council President Tom Hucker and Council Vice President Gabe Albornoz will hold a media availability to provide an overview of upcoming Council-related matters.
Council President Hucker will discuss the Council’s scheduled final vote on the mercury service regulator bill, which he authored and introduced in Dec. 2020 to enhance tenant safety. The duo will also discuss an upcoming briefing on the Vision Zero program; the County’s launch of the Climate Action Plan; upcoming public hearings on Thrive Montgomery 2050 and an appropriation for the Montgomery County Food Security Fund.
The Director of the Department of Health and Human Services Dr. Raymond Crowel will join the media availability to provide a public health update.
The media availability will be held via Zoom and is for credentialed members of the media.
