ROCKVILLE, Md., Oct. 7, 2021—The tenth meeting of the Commission on Redistricting will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 13 from 5 to 6:50 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Montgomery County Council Office Building. The public will be able to watch the meeting’s livestream on the Montgomery County Council's Facebook page and Youtube page here.  The meeting will also be televised on County Cable Montgomery (Channels 6 and 996 on Xfinity, Channels 6 and 1056 on RCN and Channel 30 on FiOS). 

During the tenth meeting of the Commission on Redistricting, the group will review maps developed and proposed by the Commissioners. They will then select two maps for the Commission’s Public Comment Session, which is tentatively scheduled for Oct. 20. The maps will be posted to the Commission’s webpage located here

In addition to their regular meetings, the Commission has been attending community meetings, as requested, to inform residents about the redistricting process. As part of the Commission’s work, they want to hear from residents.  

Please fill out the public comment form found here to help the Commission understand your communities of interest and any other suggestions or comments you’d like the Commission to consider when making and deciding on maps. 

The members of the Commission on Redistricting are as follows: Imad Aldean Ahmad, Laura Ard, Mariana Cordier, Keshia Desir, Arthur Edmunds, Valerie Ervin, Bruce Goldensohn, Jason Makstein, Nilmini Rubin, Samuel Statland, and David Stein. 

Residents can view the meeting on County Cable Montgomery on channels 30 (Fios), 1056 (RCN) and 996 (Xfinity). The meeting will be streamed on Facebook (@MontgomeryCountyMdCouncil) and on Youtube here
