On Wednesday, December 16 beginning at 6:30 p.m, the Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) and the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will hold anonline public meeting to discuss their joint projects; the Dennis Avenue Bridge Replacement and Wheaton Branch Flood Mitigation projects.
The Meeting is being presented to discuss the present project scope, preliminary design for the replacement bridge, flood mitigation, maintenance of traffic during construction, estimated project costs and schedules. Residents will have an opportunity to present oral and/or written comments.
Registration online is required to ensure participants receive an invitation and instructions to the internet-based platform Microsoft Zoom meeting, including pertinent communications and project materials.
Participants are encouraged to review the project webpages prior to the meeting to view past newsletter, maps and other project materials.
Written comments may be submitted by January 23 by one of the following methods:

The virtual meeting will use the Zoom platform. Although using a computer to “attend” the meeting is recommended, those without computer access will be able to listen to and participate in the meeting using a phone. More details, including how to log in to the meeting, will be sent early next week to those who have registered.
