Due to the installation of a stormwater drainage system across University Boulevard for Purple Line construction, the following Ride On route 15 bus stops will experience closures during evening hours.  

  • Two eastbound (toward Takoma/Langley Transit Center) bus stops located at University Boulevard and Seek Lane (26680), and at University Boulevard and Forston Street (26684) will have no bus stop access from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. beginning Sept. 28 through Oct. 4, 2022. There will be double right lane closures from Gilbert Street to Carroll Avenue. An alternate stop will be located at University Boulevard and Merrimac Drive (26686).

  • Two westbound bus stops (toward Silver Spring Transit Center) located at University Boulevard and Seek Lane (26698), and University Boulevard and Carroll Avenue (26694) will have no access from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. beginning Oct. 2 through Oct. 6, 2022. There will be double right lane closures from Carroll Avenue to Gilbert Street. Alternate bus stops will be located at University Boulevard and Piney Branch Road (16022) and at University Boulevard and Navahoe Drive (26692).

    Fare collection resumed on all Montgomery County Ride On buses on Aug. 1. The one-way pre-pandemic fare, which was $2 per ride, is now $1 for all Ride On buses including the Flash. Monthly passes, which were $45 per rider, are now $22.50.

    Passengers using Montgomery County's Ride On buses are encouraged to wear a mask but are no longer required to wear them. Masks are available on all buses for riders who need them.

    Bus interiors will continue to be cleaned by the County's Department of General Services with hospital-grade disinfectant. Bus filter and ventilation systems are also treated with a disinfectant.
