The Great Seneca Transit Network is a planned MCDOT/Ride On extRa bus service which will provide additional public transportation options to the communities in and around the Shady Grove Medical Center, Rio, and adjacent properties.
There are multiple phases. Phase 1 A is approved and includes:
Sustainability is important to MCDOT. Along with reducing the number of single-passenger cars on the road by expanding the Great Seneca Ride On extRa service, MCDOT is transitioning to a zero-emission fleet with new buses and upgraded facilities.
MCDOT will host pop-up events to share information with residents.

On Wednesday, March 15, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., MCDOT and the project team will host a virtual public meeting to engage community stakeholders, share information, answer questions, and receive feedback.
