On Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 6:30 p.m., the Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will hold a virtual public hearing to discuss the Leland Street access restriction under consideration in Chevy Chase. The public will have an opportunity to ask questions and provide oral testimony.
MCDOT has initiated the process to consider an access restriction, including the installation of a regulatory sign to restrict southbound right turns from MD 186 (Brookville Road) to Leland Street between 7- and 9 a.m., Monday through Friday, pursuant to a request made by the Hamlet Citizens Association - Chevy Chase, in accordance with Executive Regulation 17-94AM, “Through Traffic Volume Access Restrictions in Residential Areas.”
Online registration is required. On the morning of the public hearing, an invitation to participate in the hearing will be emailed to registrants.
Prior to the meeting, the public is encouraged to review the project files at www.Montgomerycountymd.gov/Leland.
