On Tuesday, March 11, at 6:30 p.m., the Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will hold a virtual (online) public hearing to discuss the proposed North High Street Extended project in Olney. The public will have an opportunity to provide testimony and ask questions.  

The North High Street Extended project provides for the design and construction of a roadway extension of North High Street to Morningwood Drive in Olney. The project also provides a continuous 6-foot-wide sidewalk on the south side of North High Street and ADA-compliant pedestrian access from Morningwood Drive.  

At the public meeting, MCDOT will present project details, costs, and the project schedule. MCDOT will also obtain public testimony and answer questions. Public input is encouraged and may influence the final design of the project. 

Please register online to attend the virtual hearing. After registering, the Zoom platform will send attendees an email containing the Zoom link and passcode needed to attend the virtual meeting.   

The public is encouraged to visit the project website and provide feedback via the online written testimony form or by email to the Project Manager, Hoang Nguyen at [email protected]. Written testimony carries the same weight as oral testimony. All information provided will become a matter of public record. 

Interpreter services will be provided upon request with five business days advance notice. To request interpreter services, email Lori Main at [email protected] or call 240-777-7271 no later than Monday, March 3.

Audiencia pública virtual sobre North High Street Extended Project en Olney a realizarse el martes 11 de Marzo

El jueves 11 de Marzo a las 6:30 pm, Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) llevará a cabo una audiencia pública virtual (online) para conversar sobre el propuesto North High Street Extended Project en Olney. El público tendrá la oportunidad de dar testimonios y hacer preguntas.

El North High Street Extended Project mantiene el diseño y construccion de un roadway extension of North High Street hasta Morningwood Drive en Olney. El proyecto también proporcionara una acera continua de 6 pies de ancho en el lado sur de North High Street y acceso peatonal compatible con ADA desde Morningwood Drive.
