The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) is hosting a public forum at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 8 at White Oak Middle School, 12201 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20904. At the meeting, MCDOT will be proposing the introduction of a new on-demand service route, Ride On Flex Route 918, and collecting public feedback and answering questions.
Ride On Flex Route 918 will provide peak-period on-demand transit service to the Ednor, Sandy Spring, Norwood, and Cloverly communities, as well as New Hampshire Avenue between Maryland Route 108 and the White Oak Transit Center. Individuals and representatives of organizations who would like to speak at the public forum are requested to furnish in writing by email, a copy of their testimony on or before Thursday, Dec. 4, and include their name, home address, telephone number, e-mail address and organization (if applicable) to the MCDOT Division of Transit Services at [email protected].
Sign language and Spanish interpreter services will be provided only upon request with notice as far in advance as possible but not less than 3 business days prior to the date of the forum. Public participation is encouraged, and feedback may influence the service implementation.
