Press Releases - Public Library

For Immediate Release: Monday, June 9, 2008

The real-life adventures of an American in Turkey will be presented by the man who lived them, author Kevin Revolinski, at a program to be held on June 18, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Quince Orchard Library, 15831 Quince Orchard Rd., Gaithersburg.

Revolinski will speak candidly about his experiences during the year he spent in Turkey teaching English and the intriguing cast of offbeat characters he encountered that resulted in his memoir entitled " The Yogurt Man Cometh: Tales of an American Teacher in Turkey.” The book sprang from the emails he wrote to friends and family about day-to-day happenings.

Since his time in Turkey, Revolinski has traveled widely, including living for two years in Italy – which is the subject of his next book.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase and refreshments will be served.

To request ADA program accommodations, at least five work days in advance, or to receive more information, call 240-777-0200.
