For Immediate Release: Thursday, February 2, 2017

Montgomery County Recreation and Montgomery Parks have hundreds of exciting camps to promote active and healthy lifestyles for children this summer. Camp registration is now open via ActiveMONTGOMERY.org, the registration and facility reservation system shared by Montgomery Parks, Montgomery County Recreation and Community Use of Public Facilities.

County camps are affordable, fun and convenient to parents and families all over the county. Activities are tailored to a variety of interests, skill levels and ages. Summer programs include aquatics, arts, nature exploration, cooking, sports and so much more.

To view the guide and register online, go to ActiveMONTGOMERY.org. Print copies are available at community recreation centers, park facilities, aquatic centers, senior centers and public libraries.

Customers can search for activities by interest, date, age, location, cost and more via ActiveMONTGOMERY.org. In addition, customers can also check facility availability and reserve available facilities including athletic fields, meeting and party rooms, park picnic shelters, social halls, activity buildings and more through ActiveMONTGOMERY.org.

Registration is also available by mail, fax to 240-777-6818 or in person at most recreation and parks facilities including community recreation centers, ice rinks, tennis centers, aquatic facilities and at the Montgomery County Recreation Administrative Offices at 4010 Randolph Road in Silver Spring.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to register for programs offered by Montgomery County Recreation and Montgomery Parks. To facilitate inclusion, you may request auxiliary aids or services. Interpreters, Braille or large print, or other modifications should be requested prior to the start of programs. Early notification allows time to put modifications in place.
