For Immediate Release: Friday, February 7, 2014

Montgomery County Council President Craig Rice will meet with members of the media on Monday, Feb. 10, to discuss key items that will be facing the County Council and its respective committees in the near future. Among the issues he will talk about are the Council’s priorities during the ongoing Maryland General Assembly session. Members of the Council will be making constant trips to Annapolis over the next few weeks in an attempt to secure support for specific programs.

Council President Rice’s meeting with media members will begin at 11 a.m. in the SIXTH FLOOR Conference Room of the Council Office Building at 100 Maryland Ave. in Rockville.

Other issues Council President Rice will address are decisions the Council made in the past week, and others that remain undecided, regarding the proposed limited master plan amendment for Clarksburg. He also will talk about testimony presented during three sessions of a public hearing on County Executive Isiah Leggett’s recommended Fiscal Years 2015-20 Capital Improvements Program.

Council President Rice intends to hold regular briefings to help explain and expand on upcoming issues facing the Council and the County in general.
