For Immediate Release: Thursday, June 23, 2016
More than 17,500 people cycled to work around the greater D.C. area for the 2016 Bike to Work Day event on May 20, according to the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments. Many of those participants gathered at one of the 83 official pit stops organized at strategic points throughout the region.
Special speakers, awards and giveaways kept the energy high at the six pit stops in Montgomery County, which attracted lots of riders. A bike was raffled off at each one. Best of all...no rain this year!
