Public Hearings to be Held Tonight on Right-of-Way Abandonment Requests

For Immediate Release: Wednesday, August 31, 2016

 The Montgomery County Department of Transportation is holding sequential public hearings on Wednesday, August 31 on abandonment right-of-way requests at three Bethesda properties: 

 

•          6430 Ridge Drive, requesting abandonment of half of the 15-foot right-of-way by the side lot line.

•          Rugby Avenue, requesting abandonment of 4,034 square feet of the road and 1,097 square feet of an alley within the same subdivision. The applicant is Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church of Bethesda-Chevy Chase (8011 Old Georgetown Road), which owns property adjoining the right-of-way.

•          McKinley Street, requesting abandonment of 1,613 square feet of right-of-way along the length of the applicant's side lot line.

 

The hearings will begin at 7 p.m. in the Executive Office Building, Lobby Auditorium, 101 Monroe Street, Rockville.
