The Division of Highway Services is completing the following drainage improvement projects:
Serpentine Road, Silver Spring. Emergency replacement of storm drain culverts involving extensive adjustment of utilities.
Poplar Hill Road from Parev Terrace to beyond last driveway located at 14225, Germantown. Installation of four storm drain pipes and grading side ditches.
Duvall Drive, Bethesda. Connection of a sump pump to the existing storm drain structure in the public right-of-way.
Yorktown Road, Bethesda. Connection of a sump pump to the existing storm drain structure in the public right-of-way.
Sundale Drive, Silver Spring. Connection of a sump pump to the existing storm drain structure in the public right-of-way.
Mountain View Road, Damascus. Emergency storm drain pipe replacement that will replace metal pipes with concrete ones.
Culver Street, Kensington. Replacement of concrete curb and gutter to improve storm water runoff.
Columbine Way, Rockville. Replacement of a failing storm drain pipe.
In addition, Highway Services is replacing distressed pavement with hot mix asphalt on Sundown Road in Gaithersburg. The project is expected to be completed by the end of November.
