Montgomery County Department of Transportation Director Al Roshdieh will join federal, state and local officials to celebrate the opening of the Takoma Langley Crossroads Transit Center by the Maryland Department of Transportation's (MDOT) Maryland Transit Administration (MTA). The event will be held Tuesday, December 20 at 10 a.m. at the Transit Center, located at 7900 New Hampshire Avenue, Takoma Park. Operations at the Center will begin on Thursday, December 22.

Roshdieh will join Federal Transit Administration Regional Administrator Theresa Garcia Crews, MDOT Assistant Secretary of Operations Kevin Reigrut, MTA and CEO Paul Comfort, Prince George’s County Deputy Chief Administrative Officer Barry Stanton, Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority General Manager and CEO Paul Wiedefeld and Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments Executive Director Chuck Bean.
