MCDOT’s Highway Services will respond to an emergency situation on Sundown Road in Laytonsville by replacing a failed storm drain pipe that has caused a depression in the roadway shoulder. A section of Sundown Road will be closed during construction, which is scheduled to begin on Friday evening, February 10. The project is expected to take about 24 to 36 hours to complete, weather permitting. In case of inclement weather, the project will begin on February 17.
Laytonsville Road (MD 108) and Damascus Road (MD 650) will remain open and wlll not be impacted during construction.
